A great day and way more than we expected. Antonio, (our guide) has the love of Etna in his veins. (His grandfather & grandmother studied vulcanology and were both teachers. We were treated to in depth knowledge of Etna, it's differences to other sites such as Vesuvious, Hawaii, Krakatoa. Etna's history is remarkable, as is that of the people who call this area home. We spent a lovely time on a trip to Etna with Etnaround. A big thank you for Renato who shared his knowledge about Etna and other volcanoes, and his sense of huomor which amused all the group. Booked a full day treck. The pick-up and drop-off spot was convenient. The treck was about 5 km and the whole tour took about 6 hours but tbe best part is that it's off the typical tourist routes and it avoids the crowds. It had a few steep parts but overall it was managable. A special shoutout goes to our guide Gabrielle! He was competent, outgoing, funny and made the whole thing even more enjoyable.

Very nice morning tour with Gabriele, fun and informative! you see a lot of different things, without a lot of climbing! Perfect if you want to see and feel the Etna without spending the day there and paying 55€ for a cable car 😳 We even got to see the lava flow! (From far away but still very cool!!)

Het was echt een ontzettend mooie en leuke trip. Het is vanaf Catania best een stuk rijden in het busje maar tussendoor zijn er stops en werd er veel verteld waardoor je actief naar buiten tuurt tijdens de verhalen. Renato’s kennis en passie voor de Etna zijn echt aanstekelijk, de zonsondergang was prachtig en de lokale wijn en hapjes waren heerlijk! Voor deze prijs echt een ontzettend goede trip en een absolute aanrader :)
