Tour description
Half day excursion to discover the fantastic and unique scenery of Volcano Etna, an immersion in nature between lunar landscape and green forests.
This tour, suitable for families and older people,it will excite us on the highest active volcano in Europe, Mount Etna.
Pick up 09:00 – drop off 14:30
Passing off road through trazzere, where we can see lava flow 1792, where our guide will explain the fauna and flora of volcano Etna, telling you the Mount Etna history.
Direction to Bove Valley, the ancient caldera formed about 64,000 years ago due to a collapse of two major eruptive centers.
Arrive at an altitude of 2000 meters above sea level,starts our trekking ( 1h. 30m. about), where we can admire the Silvestri craters, the lava flows of the 2001/2003 and a great view of Catania.
30 minute break for eating in the refreshment area.
Guided equipped with helmets and flashlights in one of the lava caves.(in case of high tremors or eruption, the visit cannot be carried out).
