Wycieczka organizowana przez nas last minute, ponieważ następnego dnia wyjeżdżaliśmy z Katanii. Napisaliśmy do polskiego pośrednika o 13, żeby zapisać się na wycieczkę, która była o 16. Wycieczka polegała na krótkim treningu na wysokości 2000 mnpm, oglądaniu kraterów i podziwianiu zachodu złośnica. W międzyczasie podjeżdżaliśmy w kilka ciekawych miejsc gdzie przewodnik Renato wraz z drugim przewodnikiem przekazywali nam bardzo dużo ciekawostek i informacji na temat Etny. Na koniec poczęstowano nas winkiem i kilkoma specjałami z Sycylii. Wszystko było przepyszne. Renato jako człowiek jest bardzo miłą i życzliwą osobą. Bardzo chętnie dzielił się swoją wiedzą i opowiadał nam po angielsku różne ciekawe historie. Podczas powrotu udzielił wskazówek gdzie warto zjeść i gdzie udać się na drinka podczas pobytu w Katanii. Choosing Etnaround was a great decision for us to learn a lot about the nature and science of Etna as well as get a good hike in. Our guides were very informative and did a good job of not rushing people on the hike. Because there were children on the tour we split into a slightly faster vs slightly slower hiking group so that everyone could go at the pace that we needed to. That being said, this is definitely a hike for the physically fit and able-bodied.
The description of the tour on GetYourGuide was accurate; they provided hiking shoes, trekking poles, and wind jackets. The first stop after being picked up is going to a town outside Etna where you can get breakfast (coffees, pastries) and pickup a delicious sandwich (vegetarian but not vegan) for later. Sunscreen, a hat, and lots of water (at least 1.5L per person) is a must as well as a backpack to hold your things.

Overall I was glad we chose this tour rather than a more conventional one. Our guides, Sergio and Marco, worked hard to make it work across a range of abilities, even though it was described as a hike of 3.5 hours requiring moderate fitness. I was uncomfortable that the group was split, and it was unfortunate there were some misunderstandings, possibly because of language barriers. I learned a little about Etna's history, flora and fauna, the scenery when the low cloud lifted was stunning and unique, and the timekeeping was excellent. Tenhle výlet vřele doporučuji!
Skvělá organizace - přesné vyzvednutí , zastavení na nákup sendviče, zapůjčení obuvi+ trekových holí .
Výstup mírně náročný - bylo opravdu horko..Doporučuji hodně vody sebou.
Výklad byl poutavý, průvodci byli moc milí, přátelští.
A závěr - zastávka v bistru , což byl v tom horku skvělý nápad.

Renato è stata un ottima guida, l'abbiamo apprezzato sia per la sua preparazione che per la sua simpatia, abbiamo passato veramente una bella giornata. Renato era preparato non solo sull'etna ma anche su altri vulcani, durante l escursione ha specificato bene le differenze con il vesuvio e i campi flegrei, ho apprezzato molto questo essendo di Napoli. Il trekking è abbastanza duro però con pazienza siamo riusciti ad arrivare fino alla fine ed è stata una grande soddisfazione, inoltre è comodo perchè ti danno loro tutto il materiale. Non c erano altri turisti lungo il percorso, è stato un servizio abbastanza esclusivo. E ci hanno portato a mangiare in posti veramente buoni per la colazione e alla fine dell escursione. Il pranzo a sacco che ci hanno consigliato di prendere è stato ottimo e anche economico.
